This activity aims to investigate the potential of plastic and marine waste recycling and produce a series of locally useful products or raw materials. The goal is to recover and utilise materials that are not easily recycled, due to impurities or deterioration such as marine waste (including discarded fishing nets). Provided that processing practices are set, the use of such materials can foster innovation and their assimilation in local areas, through practical applications with the participation of relevant stakeholders.

The action includes the collection and pretreatment of marine plastic waste, injection process of materials, evaluation of output, control and analysis for production purposes. In the final stage, a mold for a new product will be designed, analysed and constructed.

The use of such materials will contribute to promoting innovation, as well as their assimilation in the local context, through practical applications and engagement of stakeholders.
