Christos Matsoukas holds a BSc in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Cinncinnati, U.S.A. His research fields of interest are

  • Atmospheric radiation
  • Environmental Physics
  • Physical processes and Climate change
  • Atmospheric aerosol and their effect on atmospheric radiation
  • Environmental radioactivity

 

on which he has co-authored more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, receiving more than 1200 citations. He works at the Department of Environment, University of Aegean, Greece since 2005, but he has held Visiting Scientist and Professor positions at the University of Crete, German Weather Service (DWD), and the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Germany.
