E. Zafiriou holds a degree in Biology from the Department of Biology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 1989, she has been working as a laboratory assistant at the Department of Environmental of the University of the Aegean. She teaches Biology, Plant Biology, Soil Science and Research methods in Ecology. She supports undergraduate and master level theses, in the above fields.
