PhD Candidate of the Department of Financial and Management Engineering of the University of the Aegean

Charalampidou Margarita Christina is a PhD student at the Department of Financial and Management Engineering in University of the Aegean. She holds a Diploma of Financial and Management Engineer. She has a 5-year experience in corrosion and mechanical testing as in her master thesis, entitled “The impact of corrosion-induced micro-cracking on the structural integrity of ultra-thin sheets of aeronautical aluminum alloys 2024 and 2198”, studied the mechanical behavior of corroded aeronautical aluminum alloys. Her Ph.D thesis deals with the corrosion-induced degradation mechanisms of the mechanical properties of novel aluminum-lithium alloys. She has 9 publications on the topic of corrosion and mechanical performance of aluminum alloys, participated in several international conferences and she was currently worked in the national project “AKEISTHAI- SELF-HEALING AND SELF-SENSING NANO-COMPOSITE CONSERVATION MORTARS” participating in the techno-economical research and sustainability.
