Dr. M.S. Fountoulakis is Assistant Professor of Ecological Engineering & Environmental Biotechnology at the Department of Environment (University of the Aegean, Greece). His main research experience is on the anaerobic digestion process, as well as on the use of constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment. He has participated in more than 30 national and international research projects. He has published 47 papers in scientific journals and more than 50 announcements in scientific conferences. According to Scopus, his publications have received more than 1900 citations (1.2.2022, self-citations excluded) and its h-index is 23. He has supervised more than 20 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate thesis in topics related to anaerobic digestion, constructed wetlands and greywater reuse.
