PostDoc Researcher of the Department of Environment of the University of the Aegean

Vasiliki Thomaidi is a graduate (BA) of the University of Athens, Chemistry Department. She holds two Master’s Degrees (MSc), one in Environmental & Ecological Engineering from University of the Aegean and the other in Education Sciences from Hellenic Open University. She also holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Environmental Sciences from University of the Aegean. Since 2001, she has been working as a teacher in secondary education, teaching chemistry, physics, biology and environmental sciences. Her scientific research focuses on wastewater and sewage sludge treatment and reuse and risk assessment methodologies. She has published research papers on the aforementioned topics (papers in scientific journals with blind peer review system and articles in conference proceedings) and has been a reviewer of the scientific journals Chemosphere, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environmental Science and Pollution Research and Journal of Hydrology. She has also been an active member of various EC-funded research and education projects.
